European Awareness Raising Campaign on Refugees
The objective of this project was to make an awareness raising campaign at European level aimed at children and adolescents on the issue of refugees and asylum seekers, as well as other issues (immigration, exile and exodus of populations affected by war, natural disasters or economic situation in their countries of origin).
Thanks to the support of the European Youth Foundation and the Council of Europe, the work done together with nine NGOs in eleven different European countries has produced a very interesting material called “Refugees and Exile” that explains children and youngsters the reality of the refugees in the world.
4000 copies of this booklet were printed and distributed around Europe in schools, NGOs, youth centres, etc. The booklet was translated in English, French, Spanish, Greek, Romanian, Italian, Serb, Bulgarian and Azerbaijani. All versions are available in pdf format under the Publications section of our website.
This campaign has taken place under the “All Different-All Equal” project from the COE, promoting social values and understanding among peoples and cultures.
